MARKETING OPPORTUNITIES (M.O.s):

Marketing Opportunities are any entertainment properties, brands, consumer products and/or agency innovations that are available for promotional partnerships. M.O. profiles are similar to sell sheets that describe the opportunity and partners that you are looking for. You can enhance your M.O.s by adding artwork, photos and commercial spots & video. This is your chance to promote your opportunities to hundreds of entertainment and brand marketers in the only online network created by marketers for the entertainment marketing community.

COMPANY PROFILE:

The Company Profile is the home for all Marketing Opportunities and it's important that at least one person is designated as the administrator of this profile. Your company profile includes corporate contact information, Marketing Opportunities, employee connections, photos, featured spots & videos, etc.  

COMPANY ADMINISTRATOR:

Only Company Administrators, logged into the Company Profile, can add or edit Marketing Opportunities in The Lounge.

PERSONAL PROFILE:

Any user in The Lounge can create a professional profile to provide individual contact information, work history and current projects. From a professional profile, team members can link to M.O.s, form connections, post blogs, contribute to forums and join groups. Platinum members are able to link their professional profiles directly to the Company Profile and can be designated as contacts for Marketing Opportunities.             

 

CREATING AND MAINTAINING YOUR COMPANY'S MARKETING OPPORTUNITIES

 

ADDING A MARKETING OPPORTUNITY:

  1. Log in as a company administrator on laofficelounge.com

  2. Enter your company's user ID in the "E-mail address" field and your company password in the "Password" field. Click on the red "Login" button. (For easy access, click on the "Remember Me" box)

  3. You will be redirected to your "Company Profile" page

  4. On the top navigation bar under The Lounge tab click on "Add a Marketing Opportunity"
    a. You will be redirected to the "Create A Marketing Opportunity" page

  5. Name your M.O. by typing in the "Choose A Marketing Opportunity Name" field. Please keep in mind that this field has limited characters, however you will be able to enter a display name on the following page.

  6. Enter the full Description of your M.O. in the "Description" field. You can copy and paste this description from another document.

  7. Select your Privacy Level from the drop down:
    a. Select "Make my Marketing Opportunity viewable" in order to allow others to find and view your marketing opportunities
    b. If you select "Keep my Marketing Opportunity private", other Lounge members will not be able to search for, find, or view your marketing opportunities. Only employee connections will be able to view private M.O.s.

  8. Accept the terms of service please by clicking on the box next to "I have read and agree to the above Terms and Conditions"

  9. Click on the red "Create Opportunity" button

PROMOTE YOUR MARKETING OPPORTUNITY:

Note: All required items are indicated with an asterisk.

  1. Select the type of Company that the M.O. should be associated with from the drop down menu.
    a. Brand- Promotional opportunities available with a Brand
    b. Entertainment – Promote your properties!
    c. Agency- Showcase your client list and/or innovations that your company offers

  2. Name the marketing opportunity in the field provided. This is the actual name that will appear on the M.O. Profile

  3. Select the “Type of Opportunity” from the drop down menu
    a. If you do not see a close match to your type of M.O. select other. Please contact The L.A. Office so that we can add a more suitable “type” to the list in the future- (310) 275-2088.

  4. Select the M.O. “Genre” from the drop down menu (if applicable)

  5. Select the “Target Market” for your M.O.
    a. You can select all that apply by clicking on the box next to the various targets

  6. Paste in the “Description” of your M.O. again in the field Include any talent that is associated with your property by typing their names and characters/titles in the “Talent” field, if applicable. Please designate the type of talent (i.e. Cast: Tom Cruise, Val Kilmer; Director: Steven Spielberg)

  7. Select the U.S. Marketing Release Date
    a. From the drop down menu, select the “U.S. Marketing Release Year”
    b. From the drop down menu, select the “Release Month/Quarter”

  8. Select the International Marketing Release Date if applicable
    a. From the drop down menu, select the “International Marketing Release Year”
    b. From the drop down menu, select the “Inter. Release Month/Quarter”

  9. Select the promotional “Partner Categories Available” from the drop down menu
    a. Select more than one category by holding down the CTRL key and clicking on additional options.

  10. If known, list any “Promotional Partners Onboard”. Simply type them in the appropriate field.

  11. If the M.O. is a Television based opportunity, please select the “Network” from the drop down menu

  12. Select the “U.S. Distributor/Marketer” from the drop down menu If applicable, select the appropriate “International Distributor/Marketer” from the drop down menu

  13. If applicable, include the “Licensing Agency” for your M.O.

  14. If applicable, include the “Marketing Agency(s) of Record” for your M.O. Include any “Distribution Comments” necessary for potential partners by typing them in the field provided

  15. Include any “Additional Comments” necessary for potential partners by typing them in the field provided

  16. Click on the red “Save Changes” button You will receive a message indicating that your M.O. has been success fully created

DESIGNATING THE TEAM FOR YOUR M.O.:

The team that you designate will be listed in the M.O. profile page. Each team member will then also have the M.O. linked from their professional profile. Each selected individual will have access to this M.O. and will have the ability to edit this M.O. Please Note: You must include the M.O. Moderator as part of your team. If the M.O. Moderator is removed, your M.O. may be deleted.    

  1. Choose the team contact(s) for your M.O. by clicking on the boxes next to their thumbnails. Once selected, a check mark will appear in the box
    a. Make sure that the M.O. Manager thumbnail is checked

  2. Click on the red “Assign Team Contacts” button to create the team for the M.O. (Teams can be changed at any time).

EDITING YOUR M.O.:

Note: You must be logged in as the company administrator and viewing the M.O. that you want to edit.         

  1. Click on settings in the left navigation bar

  2. Click on Edit profile

  3. You are now able to edit any of the fields that you completed during the initial M.O. set-up

  4. Click the save changes button to save your updates
    a. You will receive a confirmation notification indicating that your profile has been successfully updated

  5. Click on the red “Assign Team Contacts” button to create the team for the M.O. (Teams can be changed at any time).

DELETING YOUR M.O.:            

  1. Click on the “Marketing Opportunity” button in the left navigation bar

  2. Click on “edit information” option

  3. Click on the red “Delete” button on the bottom left corner of the page

  4. You will be taken to a confirmation page

  5. a. Click on the red “Delete” button to permanently remove the M.O.
    b. Click on the red “Cancel” button to return to the M.O. profile page.

ADDING PHOTOS TO YOUR M.O.:            

  1. Select the Photos tab in the left navigation.

  2. Select the Upload Photo option.

  3. Photos you wish to upload from your computer can be selected with the "Browse for Files" button.

  4. Once you have finished selecting your photos hit Start Upload.

  5. Once the image is uploaded, you will be directed to the caption page.

  6. Click on the red “Finished” button to add your photo to the M.O. gallery.



SELECTING AN IMAGE AS KEY ART FOR YOUR M.O. (AVATAR):

  1. Select the Settings tab in the left navigation

  2. Select the Change Photo option

  3. Photos you wish to upload from your computer can be selected with the "Browse for Files" button

  4. Once you have finished selecting your photos hit Start Upload

  5. Once the image is uploaded, you will be directed to the caption page

  6. Click on the red “Finished” button

  7. Click on your uploaded image and click on the red Select Photo button



ADDING VIDEO TO YOUR M.O.:     

  1. Select the Videos tab within the left navigation

  2. Select the Upload Video option


  3. a. Standard [4:3]
    b. Widescreen [16:9]

    Note: the maximum size video upload is 120MB and the following video files are allowed: mov, avi, mpg, mpeg, wmv, mp4, flv, 3gp, m4v, m2ts

  4. Videos you wish to upload from your computer can be selected with the "Browse…" button


  5. Once you have finished selecting your videos, click on the “Finished! Upload Now!” button



 

CHANGING A CURRENT OPPORTUNITY TO A PAST OPPORTUNITY:

Once an M.O. promotional period has expired, be sure to set the M.O. as a past property -- Note: You must be logged in as the company administrator and viewing the M.O. that you want to expire.     

  1. Click on the “Add to Expired M.O.” link underneath the M.O. title
