Do you remember the first concert you attended or album you bought? The song that, in your late teens, you felt defined your life perfectly or that you can relate to incredibly joyful moments in your life? Our bet is that you can probably answer most of these questions without having to think too hard. That's because music is powerful: as a personal soundtrack, as a movement for change, or even in a marketing campaign.

The words from those memorable songs - the lyrics - are the words that move us to dance, to cry, to laugh, to remember, and those words are carefully crafted by incredibly talented songwriters, skilled at capturing a moment, a feeling, a lifetime in only three to four minutes of a song. Last year’s CMA Songwriter’s Series was one of the Forum’s highpoints, and we are taking that concept even further this year!

This year, in addition to providing insights on the Power of Music in marketing partnerships and the Power of Country Music, CMA will provide a CMA Songwriters Series with some of the best female songwriters in town. You'll be blown away by their incredible talent and incredible songwriting and might even be surprised to hear which songs they wrote for some of the biggest acts in all of music.
